Xanthi ( Greece ) is a city in Thrace , 206 km from Thessaloniki. It has a rich history, tradition and customs, and is the cultural center of the area where Christians and Muslims have peacefully coexisted for centuries. It has been called “The city of the thousand colors”. The symbol of the city is the King George Square and the old Clock. The city is intersected by the river Kosynthos and in the north of the city, there is a beautiful pine forest.
