Volax ( Tinos ) is in the middle of the island, located on a small tableland of 300 meters, surrounded by huge, smooth, granite rocks. When you first see this lovely traditional village you have the impression of a lunar landscape, dotted with stones and rocks, giant round - granite blocks that give the feeling that fell from the sky. It is also worth visiting the interesting folklife museum and buy the famous baskets that natives still knit, keeping their tradition. The region has a great interest in climbing, as the huge granite blocks constitute a high standard climbing wall.
