Tinos Town is is a beautiful Cycladic city with glare, glamor, and especially with the grace of Panagia Evangelistria, the patron saint of the island. From the port starts the avenue of Megalochari, leading to the imposing Holy Church. At the right side of the road, has placed a strip of carpet that reaches the yard of the Church, to facilitate the pilgrims who arrive kneeling, craving for their alms. Going up the steep road and seeing in the distance the imposing temple, you feel the atmosphere of devotion to overwhelm you. The capital is built around the busy harbor. It is a densely populated city, faithful to the Cycladic architecture. Walking in cobbled streets will meet many small churches and quiet neighborhoods, while the main streets are full of shops, restaurants, cafes, hotels and apartments to rent.
