Naoussa ( Paros ), a formerly quiet fishing village, located on the north side of the island, 10 km from the capital. It is built around a beautiful, safe harbor, for many the most beautiful of the Aegean. The town is an extremely popular and beloved destination thanks to its authentic Cycladic identity and its stunning natural beauty. In the area there are several hotels and many tourist shops. Walking through the narrow cobblestone streets and observing the uniformity of the architecture and construction of houses and churches, one understands the unique beauty of the Cyclades. At the entrance of the town is a Venetian castle, built in the 14th century. Also characteristic to the city are the old warehouses of fishermen around the harbor which have been converted into bars, tavernas and restaurants.
