The beaches in Epirus in Greece are of the most spectacular in the entire country. They are long and sandy, the water has an incredible turquoise color. Recently tourism has developed quite a bit in this area, so many beaches are now organized with umbrellas and chairs. It is fairly easy, though, to find quiet, secluded, untouched beaches as well. The sandy beach of Monolithi runs down the coast of Epirus – it is over 25 km long – the longest in the European Union.
