Amorgos has many impressive beaches with blue crystal clear water, rocky bays with caves ideal for diving, some with sand, some with small pebbles. Just a few of them are organized with umbrellas and chairs. The most popular are: Agia Anna which is rocky formed in two small coves where the “Big Blue” film was shot; and Mouros with pebbles and two large rocks. Aigiali is the largest sandy beach, well organized with umbrellas, chairs, beach bars and taverns. Kalotaritissa is also organized and it has turquoise waters. Katapola is the sandy organized beach of the capital and port of the island, with many taverns and café-bars. Paradeisia, Agios Pavlos, Vlychada and Liveros are quieter than the others mentioned above.
